Stamp shoppe is having a fun blog hop where you not only check out the DT’s blogs but also play in their challenges.

First stop on the hop was Melyssa’s blog. She challenges us to create a Christmas card using a non-christmas Magnolia image. I used Tilda blowing hearts which is from a Valentine collection (I think) and combined her with really sparkly Christmas papers :)

Next stop was Jeanette’s blog and her challenge for us was to create an easel card. I planned to try it for some time and I finally did it - it’s easy, fun and great for Christmas displays. I used my Silent Night Tilda with BG Eskimo Kisses papers and created another Christmas card.

Next I hopped to Carla’s blog where I found another amazing card and the next challenge - a sketch this time. I don’t have a circle die that would be big enough for the card and  couldn’t find a circle thing in the right size to cut out and trace so I used 2 smaller circles instead of one big one. I hope I’ll be forgiven :)

I used Tilda with Peaches and BG Lemonade papers - can you see Basic Grey is one of my favorites? LOL

The fourth blog to visit was Heidi’s and she challenged us to create “something fun, but not really a card” so I came up with this capuccino/hot chocolate bag holder. I combined Chef Tilda with a cup image from Flourishes (Coffee with friends). If you would like to make one too, you can find the tutorial here.

After finishing the blog hop I visited the DT Gallery and scraplifted this card. I used the same image and color combo and changed the card size, layout and embelishments. And here is the result:

The first card is for the current challenge on Basic Grey challenge blog. It’s to use glitz and bling. I use Stickles on Tilda’s wings and rhinestone in the corners. The papers are from the Basic Grey - Eskimo Kisses. collection

The second card is for a November challenge on Stamp Shoppe blog. They are getting into a Christmas mood so the challenge was to use non traditional colors for a Christmas card (no red/green combos).

I picked teal and silver as my main colors and Tilda with present. Tilda is colored with mix of Copics and Prisma pencils. I had this cool clear snowflake from my friend Shana so I covered it with glitter and used it too - I just love bling on Christmas cards ;)

I was in a fall mood so I decided to play a little with background. I used SU glossy CS and Inkadinkado stamp from Fall Season and All Hallow’s Eve sets.

All the images are embossed and then I sponged the background with various inks. Kiwi Kiss and Old Olive for the grass and Bashful Blue, Tempting Turqoise, Rich Razzleberry for the sky.  I hope I remember it all correctly.

Interesting thing: Inks show lighter on glossy CS , so if I did the same colors on a regular CS it would look darker.

Tilda was colored with Prisma pencils and Copics, cut out and glued onto the background. Sentiment is Inkadinkado too.

I love this week’s sketch on Just Magnolia challenge site, so I made not one, but 2 cards ;)

For both I used Jungle Tilda and JungleKids paper pack from DCWV - I just used different color combos.

Both cards are 5.5×5.5 and Tildas are colored with prisma pencils and OMS (and a bit of Copics ;) ) Which one do you like better?

A new Canadian online stamp store The Little Stamp Shoppe specializing in Magnolia stamps is starting out with a sketch challenge where you can win  - what else than a Magnolia stamp. Here is the sketch.

And here is my card. I used Tilda with Christmas presents which I colored with Prismacolor pencils. I layered her with glittery CS from DCWV christmas glitter pack - all the layers, except the card base are glittery  (hard to see on the image) so I decided to go light on other embelishments. Just punched out some snowflakes with Martha Stewart snowflake punch and added couple of rhinestones.

I really liked this week’s sketch on Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, so I created not one, but 2 cards. The first one is Christmas Tilda with presents. It’s colored with prisma pencils and blended with OMS. The papers are from DCVW Christmas pack and the CS is Purely Pomegranate. The base is a wonderful embossed note card I found one day in Michaels’s $1.49 bin. Love it - too bad this is the last one I have. The rhinestones swirls and ribbon are from Prima.

The second card is made with a cool digital image of Lenny the Loader from Sunshine’s Stamps. I colored him with BIC markers. The papers are from Sandylion boys paper pack and the CS is Certain Celery. The green buttons are from an embelishment swap on SCS. I’m not a button person, but I like using them on boy cards - they seem more “manly” than flowers and ribbons ;) What do you think?

This week’s Featured Stamper  on SCS was MIchelle (Justpaintingaround). She has an amazing style of creating. I was really inspired by her backgrounds. So here are 2 cards I made:

The first one is a CASE of one of Michelle’s cards - just had to simplify the layout a bit - it took me a while to figure out how to cut the pieces and then put them back together ;) The image is called Post Box and it’s from Sugar Nellie collection. It’s colored, wersamarked, embossed and then I did the background using sponges and ink.

This card isn’t exactly a CASE, but it was inspired by Michelle for sure. i think she used the same layout (or similar) on more cards. The background was created first, using brayer, sponges and white gel pen. The Tilda was colored with waterbased markers and aquapainter, then I cut her out and glued her “in the sea”.

Today’s challenge on Secret Crafter  is using stripes. Stripes are great for boys cards (they are harder for me to make as I can’t use my usual embelishments like flowers and glitter).

I received this Edwin image from my SCS friend Annabelle and it really came handy because I needed to make a boy birthday card. Edwin is colored with Prismacolor pencils, then Versamark-ed and embossed with clear EP. Then I sponged the background and created the clouds. Papers are from Sandylion paper pack, greeting is from SU and the brads are Basic grey

This is my first Magnolia/Tilda card - I used the layout from this week’s Ismaki challenge .

The image is Tilda throwing hearts colored with my Prismacolor pencils/Goo Gone and the Papers is Basic Grey/Bittersweet. The chipboard pieces are from a christmas scrapbooking set, but work pretty good with Valentine theme too, eh? ;)

The base is an embossed white card that I gently sponged pink to make the embossed swirls pop a bit.

What do you think?
