This is the biggest project I ever made :) I’ve planning to do this for a long time and finally gather up enough courage, supplies and time to make it.  Rachel from Wonderful Whimsy made a wonderful easy to follow tutorial.

For my box I used SU Merry Moments Designer Papers and from it I picked the cardstock colors - Real Red, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. For embelishments I used various ribbons, rhinestones and brads.

And a view from a different angle:

This is a great project for those long fall/winter evenings as it requires lot of cutting, scoring, folding and gluing - I did it while watching TV ;)

I pulled out my new SU goodies and finally started to play with them. I used the hostess set from the Holiday Mini - Patterned Pines and Merry Moments DP - so I picked the other colors accordingly.

I will probably make couple more of these and make a set in a nice A2 box. Nice little Christmas gift.

The first one is actually a  CASE  from the Mini. I stamped, embossed the pines and used the same layout as it is in the Mini. Base is Old Olive CS. The greeting is from a Martha Stewart christmas set, ribbon is from my Secret Sister - Kristina ;) It goes great with these papers.

The second card has the same layout, just the pines are embossed in Gold EP, the base is Real Red. The sentiment is from SU (it’s Many Merry Messages I think), chocolate ribbon is from a local “dry goods” store. The gold dew drops are again from my Secret Sister.

The third layout is just slightly different, with one pine and some punched out snowflakes. The sentiment is again SU.

I just love this set. Last weekend I tried 2 different coloring techniques with the same images. Here are the results. The first one was stamped on glossy CS with black Memento ink and colored with SU markers and blenders. I went through the image with VersaMarker and embossed it with clear EP. Then I brayered and sponged the background. I used pink and turquoise CS for layers and base. The base and the butterly are stamped with the flower image from the set.

The main image on this card is stamped on watercolor paper with Versamark and embossed with gold EP. It’s colored with SU markers and aquapainter, background is colorwashed with light blue ink. I used gold pen to frame the picture and both background panels (SU Cottage wall DP). Sentiment is from Artful Inkables birthday set. Then just a touch of Rich Razzleberry ribbon and some golden brads and the card is done.

The weather is so hot and muggy, I just want to think about something cool - what better time to make some Christmas cards. I really like this image from SU Home for Christmas set and I finally got my hands on some new SU Designer Paper so I decided to make them in non-traditional colors.

For the first one I used SU Cottage wall papers, the base is Orchid Opulence CS, the ribbons are Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive. The image is colored with markers, inks and aquapainter. I added a bit of glitter on the greenery and the tree - just hard to see on the image. The sentiment is from SU Christmas Punch set.

The second one has a similar layout, I just used Holiday Lounge DP and matching colors for coloring the image. The base is Ruby Red CS and the sentiment is from Home for Christmas too.

As soon as I got my newest SU stamp set I new what I want to make. I’ve seen cards made with this set on Michele Zindorf’s blog and I loved them. I made several practice images until I got the mirror image stamping right and the brayered ocean not too dark, but finally I got one that I liked. Sorry, I don’t remember the exact color combination of inks I used for this one - probably Bashful blue and Baja Breeze with Pacific Point on the back panel.

The second one is a bit more colorful, with fishes stamped in Pumpkin Pie and Only Orange and the sea plants in Kiwi Kiss. I used a bit of sponging over the brayered ocean too. The CS is Only Orange and KIwi Kiss - the image panel started as Whisper White.
