This is my first card made with Sweet Pea mermaid stamp. Aren’t they beautiful? and so much fun to color. This one is called Dragonfly Fantasy.

The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils. Cardstock is Old Olive & Bermuda Bay, DP is from Dovecraft and the ribbon from my Secret Sister Shana. I kept the layout simple to keep the focus on the mermaid. You’ll be seeing more of them here -  that’s for sure. ;)

I’m sooo bad, I didn’t post anything in a looong time. Not that I didn’t create - just didn’t have time to sit down and post. So here we come. These 2 are the last holiday cards I made this year. I used Cuddles Kuma Shepard image from Ildi Co. It makes me feel peaceful, so that was the theme of these cards.

They are both easel cards (I fell in love with this kind of cards this season ;) ) and I used Basic Grey Wassail papers and stickers for both of them. Buttons and the ribbon is from Basic Grey too. Which one do you like?

Another Flourishes release is here and with it another challenge. This one was to be inspired by our garden - by our favorite flowers, colors, anything we love in our garden.

We just moved to our house this summer and it has no garden to speak of - just grass. We were to busy with moving, settling in and other stuff this year to do more than just move the lawn. BUT next year I’m planning to work on it - and I would love love LOVE to have a garden with fruit trees, bushes and plants - apples, peaches, blueberies, strawberries… so my card is inspired by my dream garden. I used an image from Cherries and Peaches set and colored it with Prisma pencils.

The background panel is embossed and sprayed with Garden Fairy Glimmer Mist. Edges are distressed and inked with Peeled Paint distress ink.

Stamp shoppe is having a fun blog hop where you not only check out the DT’s blogs but also play in their challenges.

First stop on the hop was Melyssa’s blog. She challenges us to create a Christmas card using a non-christmas Magnolia image. I used Tilda blowing hearts which is from a Valentine collection (I think) and combined her with really sparkly Christmas papers :)

Next stop was Jeanette’s blog and her challenge for us was to create an easel card. I planned to try it for some time and I finally did it - it’s easy, fun and great for Christmas displays. I used my Silent Night Tilda with BG Eskimo Kisses papers and created another Christmas card.

Next I hopped to Carla’s blog where I found another amazing card and the next challenge - a sketch this time. I don’t have a circle die that would be big enough for the card and  couldn’t find a circle thing in the right size to cut out and trace so I used 2 smaller circles instead of one big one. I hope I’ll be forgiven :)

I used Tilda with Peaches and BG Lemonade papers - can you see Basic Grey is one of my favorites? LOL

The fourth blog to visit was Heidi’s and she challenged us to create “something fun, but not really a card” so I came up with this capuccino/hot chocolate bag holder. I combined Chef Tilda with a cup image from Flourishes (Coffee with friends). If you would like to make one too, you can find the tutorial here.

After finishing the blog hop I visited the DT Gallery and scraplifted this card. I used the same image and color combo and changed the card size, layout and embelishments. And here is the result:

  7. leave a comment on each of the blogs, letting them know they have been nominated

I was baking gingerbread cookies with my kids this weekend and that inspired me to make some kind of gift box for them. I used the Time for Take out template from Timeless Templates (PTI). It’s pretty easy to put together and it’s a good size for couple of cookies. I decorated it with snowflakes from SU Snow swirled set and CHristmas Cocoa DP. I printed a small Gingerbread Girl, colored it with markers, cut it out and adhered it to the front of the box. And since I had all the papers out and more images printed I made a matching card with Ildi Co’s Gingerbread Reindeer. I used a rotated sketch from Sketch Saturday challenge blog.

Ingredients:

Paper: Kraft, Real Red, White CS, SU Christmas Cocoa DP,   Images and Stamps: Ildico - Gingerbread girl, reindeer, SU Snow swirled, SU Christmas greeting,  Ink: Ruby Red,    Tools: Nestabilities Labels, Snowflake border punch, Other: markers, red glitter rhinestoones, ribbon, chocolate brown pearls

I realized I still didn’t upload my Snopals creation I made for the current Ildi Co challenge. The challenge is to be inspired by your favorite Christmas song. I have a LOT of favorite Christmas songs so it was hard to pick only one ;)

For the first creation I decided to be inspired by the song Winter Wonderland - I used Snopals Skate (x2) and decorated the jar. Papers I used are from BG Eskimo Kisses and the CS is Rich Razzleberry (it matches the Eskimo kisses pretty well). I used Mod Podge to adhere the pices to the jar - my first try - but worked pretty well.

Then I made a card inspired by Let it snow song. I used the new freebie image from Ildi Co - it’s super cute and stamps from SU Branched Out set.

The colors for this card are more traditional - Navy, white, gold and touches of red, brown and light blue. I like how  the gold tree turned out. It’s embossed with detail gold EP as are the snowflakes.

This week’s challenge on Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is Nature - create a card or some other project that reminds you of being outside, using only natural colors you’d find in the fall.

For this card I used and image I created mostly with direct to paper technique. Practically you just smear the ink pad over your cardstock ;) At first I wasn’t happy with the result, but then I started to like it - it was fun and fast.

I used various SU and Distress Inks and a tree stamp from SU Lovely as a tree set. To keep it clean and simple I just used CS for layering and a simple sentiment.

This week’s challenge on Penny Black Challenge Blog is WINTER WONDERLAND.

To create a wintery scene I embossed a piece of vellum with Snowflake Impressabilities folder and layered in on a Rich Razzleberry CS. The hedgies are colored with mix of markers and Prisma pencils. Added some white glitter under their skates to make it look like ice. For the card base I used a shimmery blue Bazzil CS - that goes great with the winter theme. Then just a couple of light blue accesories and the card is done.

The first card is for the current challenge on Basic Grey challenge blog. It’s to use glitz and bling. I use Stickles on Tilda’s wings and rhinestone in the corners. The papers are from the Basic Grey - Eskimo Kisses. collection

The second card is for a November challenge on Stamp Shoppe blog. They are getting into a Christmas mood so the challenge was to use non traditional colors for a Christmas card (no red/green combos).

I picked teal and silver as my main colors and Tilda with present. Tilda is colored with mix of Copics and Prisma pencils. I had this cool clear snowflake from my friend Shana so I covered it with glitter and used it too - I just love bling on Christmas cards ;)
